Lia Bergman (b. 1998) is a London-based interdisciplinary artist. Her work examines how human agency is transformed through technical mediation. Often utlising computing, she creates interactive setups that aim to put the audience in situations they do not have a pre-prepared response to. Much of her work incorporates the viewers' reactions to it, making present the performative aspect of viewing and of social interaction at large. Through text, performance and installation, her work tries to push linguistic systems to their humorous breaking point. Her latest work is an interactive piece using the video call app Zoom.
